HOW HOT CAN THE SERENO REVIVE SAUNA GET?

The sauna operates between 70ºC and 90ºC, allowing you to choose your ideal heat level. This temperature range ensures an authentic Finnish sauna experience, providing deep, penetrating warmth that promotes muscle recovery, circulation, and relaxation. The Harvia Cilindro PC90 heater ensures even heat distribution, creating a consistent and comfortable sauna session every time.

Electrical Requirements

The Sereno Outdoor Sauna comes with the premium Harvia 9kW cylindrical electric heater, which must be installed by a licensed electrician.

As a guide:

• Power requirement: 9kW (approximately 36–40 amps at 230V single phase)
• Dedicated circuit required: Yes
• Hard-wired installation: Yes - the heater must be permanently wired to your switchboard (not plugged into a standard power outlet).
• Lighting: The sauna lighting requires a separate standard electrical connection.

Because every home is different, your electrician should confirm:

• Your switchboard has sufficient spare capacity.
• The incoming mains supply can accommodate the additional load.
• The cable size and circuit breaker are appropriate.
• The distance from the switchboard to the sauna installation.

Most New Zealand homes have a single-phase 63A supply, however suitability depends on your home’s existing electrical load and the capacity of your switchboard.

Good to know: A 9kW sauna heater draws a similar amount of power to a domestic oven operating at full output while the sauna is heating up. Once the sauna reaches temperature, the thermostat cycles the heater on and off to maintain the set temperature, reducing continuous power consumption.
